Choose the right download or access path
Direct website licences use the protected account download path. App Store and Windows / PC availability should be handled through their own release paths.

Use your Tribute Director account to access downloads for your direct Perpetual, Monthly or Annual licence.

Open your Tribute Director account and confirm the correct licence is available.
Download
Download the Direct Release from your account, or install the Mac App Store edition from its Apple listing.
Install
For a direct download, open the downloaded archive or disk image and move TributeDirector.app to Applications. For the App Store edition, install through the Mac App Store. Open Tribute Director on the Mac that will run the service.
Activate
Activate using the licence or account details associated with the purchase path.
Test
Open a test service and check every required audio output, its volume, mute state and delay, plus Programme and Confidence displays and any remote control before live use.
Keep the service computer stable
Downloads and updates should be managed deliberately, especially close to a live service.
Update entitlement
Updates are included while your subscription is active. Perpetual licences include 12 months of updates and support.
Direct Release users can check for entitled updates from Help > Check for Updates. Mac App Store installations update through Apple.

If download or activation does not work
Most access issues are easier to resolve when the account, licence path and exact error message are clear.

Prepare the service computer
The download is only the first step. Confirm the complete service setup before the day.
Check media playback
Confirm music, videos, images, slideshows and lyrics behave as expected.
Check display output
Confirm each external screen is assigned to Programme or Confidence as intended. Test lyric progression and any browser programme output in the actual room.
Check audio routing
Test each required output independently. Confirm volume, mute and delay settings for the room, monitoring and livestream paths, and mute unused outputs.
Check remote control
If using local phone or tablet control, pair and test the device on the same network.
Keep backups
Keep important service media available outside the project in case a fallback is needed.
