Version 1.1.3

Current release - Build 115 - Released 6 October 2026

A maintenance release focused on dependable audio routing, live-playback responsiveness and clearer recovery during service operation.

Audio and playback improvements

  • Fixed programme audio routing to headphones and connected headphone interfaces.
  • Headphone audio now recovers after a device is unplugged and reconnected.
  • Headphone routing no longer requires macOS Default output to be changed.
  • Headphone and Default output mute controls now operate independently.
  • Added an Audio Levels refresh control to re-detect available audio devices.
  • Improved playback responsiveness by reducing audio-meter processing overhead.

Diagnostics

  • Added clearer messages when an audio output cannot be selected or started.

Before a live service, complete a brief sound and display check using the exact devices and connections planned for the service.

Tribute Director is continually refined to improve reliability, workflow speed and confidence during live services. This page records the changes included with each public release.

Version 1.1.2

Current Direct Release · Build 114 · Released 1 October 2026

Tribute Director 1.1.2 adds clearer first-run guidance, improved appearance handling, a more readable browser remote and updated operator documentation.

Guidance And Help

  • Added a first-launch Getting Started guide for creating a service, building the running order, checking outputs and running the service.
  • Added a What's New presentation after an update.
  • Both guides can be reopened from the Help menu.
  • Rebuilt and expanded the Operator Manual with current screenshots and practical instructions for preparation, playback, displays, remote operation and recovery.

Appearance

  • New installations follow the current macOS Light or Dark appearance until the top-right appearance button is used.
  • Using the appearance button saves a manual Light or Dark override that persists across launches.
  • Existing appearance choices are preserved during upgrade.
  • Refined Audio Levels mute buttons so normal and muted states remain clear in both appearances.
  • Refreshed the scalable Tribute Director top-bar branding.

Browser Remote

  • Improved the holding-screen preview so its portrait, text layout and typography more closely match Programme output and remain readable on a phone.
  • Made HOLDING state updates immediate and clearer across the programme preview, playback status and Holding button.

Reliability

  • Opening Tribute Director again now activates the existing app instead of starting a duplicate instance.

Before updating: Finish any live service first. After updating, run a sound, screen and remote check before the next service.

  • Improved transitions between spoken segments, selected images and cues that use the holding screen.
